Project management support for Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express
Since 2016, terrasol has been providing project management support on behalf of the Société des grands projets for Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express.
This 35-kilometre line connects Orly station to Versailles Chantiers station. It comprises 10 stations, 24 ancillary structures, 18 kilometres of tunnel, 6 kilometres of viaduct and 5 kilometres of elevated track.
Terrasol has supported the Major Projects Company from the initial survey stages, through the design phases, and is currently involved in the implementation of various geotechnical aspects, both during the construction phase and in the final phase.
What is the current status of the project?
Work with a significant geotechnical component is currently focused on the following sections:
– Lot 3c, above-ground section between Saclay and Guyancourt station: covered and open-cut sections and crossings over existing roads,
– Lot 3a, underground section between Guyancourt and Versailles Chantier stations: tunnel boring machine excavation, stations and ancillary structures.
