For Terrasol, passing on knowledge is essential to preparing future generations for the challenges of geotechnical engineering! Yesterday, students from the École nationale des ponts et chaussées had the opportunity to experience the reality of the field by visiting the construction site of the Line 16 station in Chelles.

Accompanied by Fabien Binet, a geological expert, they learnt about terrasol’s role as project management consultant on this major project.

The geometry of Chelles station is a double-lobe structure with diaphragm walls capable of withstanding high water pressure. To optimise the schedule, the tunnel boring machine passed through the station before its excavation.
