La Grenouillère Aquatic Centre in Antony

Missions
  • Underground basin with pressure relief via piles
  • Retaining wall (sheet pile wall, Parisian wall)
G1, G2 PRO and G4 projects

In collaboration with Setec Bâtiment and on behalf of the architectural firm Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes (DFA), Terrasol is participating in the redevelopment project for the Grenouillère Aquatic Centre in Antony, at the south-western end of Parc de Sceaux.

The new aquatic centre will comprise three indoor pools. Outside, it will feature two leisure pools and a wild water course. An underground car park is also planned.

The main challenge of the project was typical of a lightweight building largely buried underground, where the load transfer results in tensile stresses that necessitate the use of deep foundations to anchor the building against interstitial negative pressures.

Studies began in 2019 with the completion of a G1-APS phase.

The G2-AVP and G2-PRO phases followed in 2020 and 2021.

Work began in 2024 (G4 phase for Terrasol).

The pile foundation has already been completed and the retaining walls for the car park are currently being finalised.
